That was the year that pushed me to 1k for the first time, which I have kept since then. Every year, with the changing requirements, I say to my spouse - 'well, this is probably the last year I'll go for 1K,' and he just laughs, because obviously that hasn't happened yet. I'm sure it will at some point, but things like that competition and this community do help to make it a more fun effort.
