I might be wrong but it seems that you were booked QR20/QR934 with a 50min transfer time (arrival 5:50pm departure 6:40pm).

As KingCanute noted, what matters is the arrival time, which is when the aircraft door opens, not the landing time.
Looking at FR24, QR20 landed between 5:37 and 5:50pm in the past week. That means an arrival to the gate at least 10 min later and usually more. Most flights did not meet the 45min cutoff.
All flights arriving from Europe tend to be late because of the diversion caused by the ME and Ukraine war.
You can interpret the email you received as stating that QR20 was delayed for reasons beyond QR control. And the ME/Ukraine war is regarded as beyond QR control.

You could argue in Irish courts that this is not beyond QR control, because they should have adjusted their schedules accordingly. Good luck.
