My airline (EI) does not offer fast track at LHR for short-haul business class passengers (such as LHR to SNN).

I would like to understand if the following two options would work:

1. Purchase Heathrow Express tickets in "Business First Class." Would this give me access to fast track at LHR? If so, how do I gain access, and do I have to commit to a certain time frame?

2. Purchase Fast Track from the LHR website. This requires that you commit to a specific time frame. Has anyone done this? And how does it work? Suppose I select 5 pm. When can I enter? The website says you should enter within one hour; however, I am not clear if this means 4-5 pm or 5-6 pm, or perhaps 5 pm +/- 1 hour.
