Hello everyone! I'm new to this community, so please let me know if this post would be better suited elsewhere.
I’ve been using AA eShopping for the past year to maximize loyalty miles, but one frustration I have is knowing whether each mileage rate is actually a good deal. For example, AA might send an email saying Lululemon is offering 4x miles, which is an increase from 2x—but is 4x the best we can get? What if it jumps to 6x or even 10x next week?
To solve this, I started scraping the AA eShopping website every 6 hours to store historical rates in a database. I'll include the data I have for Lululemon below so you can see what I mean.
Would anyone here find this helpful?
If there’s interest, I’m happy to make this available for free! I’d love to know if it’s something people would use before putting in the extra effort. Also, please share any specific features you’d like, such as tracking certain stores or categories. I’m even open to adding notifications when a favorite store reaches a high rate!
Thanks for any feedback, and feel free to suggest any other improvements!
