Heads up, as we're all making our plans for 2025:

FlyingBlue (which is KLM + Air France, and a member of SkyTeam) is running a status match promotion. It's one of the very rare status match promo's that recognizes WestJet / WestJet status at all ... and for residents of Canada, they will match WestJet Platinum to FlyingBlue Platinum.

If you're primarily an international flyer (or even a cross-border flyer on Delta), this could be ideal for anyone looking for an alternative to the 'new' WestJet Rewards.

It gives great, Platinum-level benefits while flying on KLM and AF, obviously, plus it gives you the highest "SkyTeam Elite+" level ... so you get strong alliance benefits (including lounge access) on all of their carriers.

And on Delta, it gives you better recognition than we currently get as WestJet Platinum, as their program provides complimentary DL Comfort+ seats for FB Platinums. (WestJet customers on Delta, if booked as a WS ticket or flight number, cannot even purchase Comfort+.)

It's always good to have options.
