Staying here for 9 nights this time, checking out tomorrow. First time I was here, the hotel was new. Did stay a lot here between 2008 and 2010, I think months together. Then back here in the spring, and now again.
The hotel have managed to preserve itself. Of course it is a bit tired, but overall for the price they charge, it is good value. I had some issues with the Aircon, was not cool enough for me, but that was solved. I booked cheapest room, was upgraded to one of the highest floor, facing mainland China.
The executive lounge, which I got access to first today, when I reached platinum status, is relatively crowded during cocktail hours. The Macau Grand Prix is at the moment, which might affect the occupancy. The quality in the lounge was good enough, basic alcohol and a variation of food - buffet style - during cocktail hours. You don't need a dinner after this. The afternoon tea was also ok, nothing special, but also good enough.
The breakfast spread in the main restaurant, which you can use instead for the lounge breakfast, is good and the quality is fine.
The sauna and gym is ok, just have to adjust the sauna so it's hot enough 30 minutes before you enter. Did swim in the pool, was alone.
The staff is all over friendly and professional. The housekeeping is excellent. The bed is very comfy.
At weekdays you get relatively good deals, at weekends the rate skyrocket, as all over Macau.
