If it's a booking with BA Holidays you better call at some point. If it's a direct booking on BA.com then if you leave it a week or so it will probably update with a disruption menu for you to choose a suitable option. You now have a flexible ticket, but that changes when you make a decision and it becomes inflexible at that point.
