Nothing super unusual in my story but just wanted to provide a datapoint for those in a similar situation:
Im a longtime Chase customer with 5 or 6 active personal cards
I received my first business card (Ink Preferred) as a sole proprietor a little over a year ago based on a very notional business. Usually less than $1000 spend/mo, never higher than $5000, with a credit line of $14,000. (In other words, plenty of unused credit).
I am currently at 5/24 in terms of personal card applications
I applied for the Unlimited on Saturday, again as a sole proprietor; I put down $0 for revenue and I think $1000/mo for expected charges.
The application immediately went to pending.. Based on some reports above I tried calling one of the numbers in the wiki to see if I could expedite the process by answering questions and/or being willing to shift some of my credit line from the Preferred. Eventually got a live person who was nice but said I would simply have to wait to be contacted for in a couple of days.
On Sunday evening, I received an electronic notification from Chase that I needed to call them during business hours about my application.
On Monday, I called the provided number, and to my surprise the person identified herself as being from the fraud department. She asked me a couple of identity questions, then put me on hold while she reviewed the application. Asked me a couple of more identity-like questions, put me on hold again, and then came back saying I was approved. (Smallish credit limit enough for my purposes, which are primarily to obtain the current $900 SUB

). She did
not ask a single question about my business, expected revenue, etc.
In retrospect, I think it is possible that I could have gone through these approval steps sooner if I had applied on a weekday versus the weekend, but it was still pretty rapid (and painless) nonetheless.
YMMV, as always.
