After taking two A350-1000 flights, JL12 (HND-DFW) and JL3 (JFK-HND), I would advise against high expectations compared to the 777/787, at least in economy. While the seats are more comfortable and newer, one major issue stands out. I find it puzzling that a "ding" sound is emitted whenever the call button is pressed, which became increasingly annoying during the flight. Furthermore, crews assigned to A350-1000 flights seem disproportionately junior or less proactive. On JL012, I met an exceptional cabin attendant supervising economy class, but she mentioned she was only on the Dallas flight due to a last-minute substitution (her original destination was Los Angeles). Unfortunately, the crew on JL3 was noticeably less impressive than those on my previous 777/787 flights, a pattern I've observed after multiple flights (admittedly, this is just personal observation with no concrete justification).
