Why would somebody randomly get Mosaic status? My wife has only 16 tiles, doesn't fly JetBlue all that often, but when she logged into her JetBlue account the other day, she had Mosaic status. We couldn't find any explanation why, just a line in her activity log from Oct 4th saying she'd made it to Mosaic 1. I've got a JetBlue credit card, and have Mosaic status, but those shouldn't have any effect on her. She does have Global Services status with United, but she swears she didn't ask for a match, so that doesn't make any sense either. I'm stumped. I didn't want to contact JetBlue about it, just in case they'd take it away.
On another Jetblue forum, a number of people have posted that they were gifted Mosaic 1 after barely getting halfway there. Nothing official announced by JetBlue. My guess is that they're gifting Mosaic 1 to people who started flying with regularity at some point during the year in order to try and keep them flying regularly.
