Azores Airlines (S4) fake business class

I’m here reporting you a “case” with Azores Airlines, truly pathetic...

Here are the facts:

I booked an economy class ticket for the itinerary FNC-PDL-SMA-LIS-FNC and, afterwards, I upgraded the FNC-PDL leg using 7000 miles of my SATA Imagine account;

The flight segment was being sold by Azores Airlines with 2 different classes: economy and business;

Azores Airlines advertises on their website several benefits of the business class cabin, such as: fast-track, lounge access, priority boarding, gourmet meal and personalized onboard service, in line with the standards of the industry.

However, the “business class” service experienced on the flight FNC-PDL S4 363 26 OCT 13h30 was something totally different…;

At FNC airport, Azores Airlines does not have any fast-track or lounge contract with the airport for this flight, so the “business class” experience is exactly the same as any other pax;

But, onboard, things got even worse… Despite being seated in a front row (number 3), there were no business class meal. The meal service was the same for both cabins, consisting of a very small cold sandwich and a packet of jello (picture attached);

I expressed my disappointment to the crew and they just ignored me. They didn’t give any explanation to any pax seated in business class. Zero;

In the meantime it came to my knowledge that this was not a one time ocurrence, but rather a permanent commercial decision from Azores Airlines.

I have flown more than 950 times in business class cabin, especially in short haul flights in Europe and I have never seen such a bad “business class” product like this… Even worse, Azores Airlines advertises on their website an array of benefits that were not offered at all.

FNC-PDL S4 363 26 OCT 2024 "business class"

I already contacted them, and the answer was totally unacceptable, considering all this experience a normal service for business class, denying any compensation and not even offering an apology.
