This thread has been going for a couple of weeks and I just noticed it.

WN is a no-frills airline. The snack and beverage service, for as long as I've been patronizing WN, has been minimal - some snack mix or pretzels, and a small cup of water or soft drink.

Twenty years ago I started bringing my own water bottle and snack aboard, so I can eat and drink whenever I wish and not need to bother with the service. It's helpful when I'm on an early or late flight and nod off as soon as I'm in the air; if I sleep through the service, I still have something and don't need to bother the flight crew. It's also helpful in the event of an onboard delay, so I can have something to drink if I'm sitting on a ramp for an extra hour or two while the crew isn't able to do any drink or snack service.

On flights longer than about two hours, I'll bring a larger snack or multiples (pretzels AND M&Ms!), and a soft drink, along with my water bottle. Once in a great while I'll even pick up a sandwich or some kind of fast food meal just before boarding.

WHAT!? You don't care what the FAs wear!? Well, my word, that is just... I mean it's... possibly the most shockingly reasonable thing I've seen posted in the internet all week.
