I stayed there mid September this year for a week and loved it. I was one of their very first customers when they opened so it was fun to return.
The staff is amazing, friendly and all. I did not get an upgrade because the hotel was full (I checked as well). But they offered me free breakfast every day, I was wow'ed. The rooms are big and refreshed (one of their floors is still closed for renovation) and the balcony overlooking the pool was nice. I couldn't hear the pool bar music at all with my windows closed.
Location is great, walkable to the beach, plenty of food and drinks options around but during rush hour, it's a nightmare if you plant to get in or out by car... but that's Bali in general I have to say these days.... it was horrendous commuting to the east coast for my daily dive trips. I didn't want to stay on the east coast, so I guess that's on me but some days, it took me 3h to do Sanur to Seminyak... lucky I was not the one driving.
