This is my go to now. T1 is a total disaster security wise, even in best of times it’s slow. When they open the upstairs it’s easily an extra 10-15 mins for precheck. Poor machines and layout. Went to t2 this morning and was through within 3 minutes. Walked over to t1 and had 40 mins to check out the lounge (my first time). That lounge is really nice, so big and not crowded at all.
I’ve been doing this the last few weeks. Arrive T2, grab food at lark creek, then walk over to T1 and board. I typically arrive at the airport an hour before departure and collect my order as I get the boarding alert so it takes around 20 minutes to pass security and get food. Walking to gate takes 15 minutes so I usually have 15 minutes or so to spare. It does mean I give up pdb but I’ve largely given up on those anyway.
