Alcohol consumption in a lounge by someone under 21 can cause the temporary suspension of the lounge's liquor license, which would be a PITA for the rest of us.

I'm not a fan of our drinking laws and I would very much like to see my 16 year old appreciate wine as much as I do, so that's not where I'm coming from. It's just very problematic in some states when minors are caught consuming alcohol in places with a license.
