It looks like I'm going to end the year with approx 450 TCs earned, and I'm weighing up whether or not its worth booking one of my upcoming trips to Europe with BA via Heathrow in J class, which should get me 200 TPs.

I fly to the states 3-4 times per year, so the J upgrade voucher seems like it should be worth spending a couple hundred more on a flight to Europe on its own; plus getting access to 51st and Green would be nice.

I'm also wondering if there's much of a chance of getting a random upgrade based on status outside of using the voucher.
