It's hard to find 5 pax, I was thinking about using these for ex-EU trips now that our cheap(ish) BA favorite (ALG-LAX) is gone. Not a bad deal for DUB-LAX if you hunt and peck, except it seems like even where Expert Flyer shows I bucket > 5 that Alaska only allows booking 4 at a time. So I may just try 2 separate PNRs. I went back and looked at other options and only the OneWorld open jaw deal is comparable ion price and that has a 180 day advanced purchase.
This one shows plenty of seats at the same price (roughly $800 per direction) so I guess we might switch from LHR to DUB and from BA to EI and see how these flights work out. I do like the ease of just getting over there to the EU and then having multiple ex-EUs planned out for the next year, we'll probably do a February ski trip, a summer trip and then head back next Fall/winter. At $1600ish per pax RT this is pretty good, plus getting 250% EQMs makes these a no brainer. That's 15k redeemable miles and 15k EQMs for each overwater segment alone (!) if I read the new rules correctly for tickets purchased on AS. That is comparable to the old BA earnings and double what you would get next year booking partners through other channels. Two RTs is MVP Gold, knocking on the door to MVP G-75...
