I lost the ability to cancel in the app after they have assigned a car to me. With my last rental, I had a 7:15pm pick up time for my reservation and they assigned my car around 2:30pm. The app says to call customer service or go to the preferred desk to cancel after this point. More bothersome to me, they also charged the rental and deposit to my card on file at the the time they assigned the car.
