Most frequent flier programs (and fliers) seem to put an emphasis on mileage ... but I have far more respect for the poor sod who's out there every week crammed into small turboprops or regional jets. They're the ones who truly deserve frequent flier perks.

Perhaps that's flavoured by the fact most of my own flights are short-hauls with just a handful of overseas trips thrown in each year. I usually end the year somewhere around 75,000 miles and around 70 individual segments.
