Greetings from the T5B lounge.

Booked a nine day BAH from MAN to IST and the computer set us up as follows for this morning.

BA1387 MAN 08:55 LHR
BA 676 LHR 10:35 IST

I thought we might make it HBO - our front row seats on the MAN shuttle would help too - but despite an on time arrival we didn't get past the transfer gate at T5. We were diverted to the help desk where we were scolded by the desk agent for booking the timings (we didn’t, our original flights were retimed and I was naive enough to assume that BA would not set us up to fail).
She has rebooked on BA0680 at 17:05. We will now arrive in Türkiye after midnight rather than 17:30.
I have been in touch with BAH and a really helpful Rachael has rearranged our car hire. Rather than heading off towards Gallipoli this evening we are now spending a few hours in the landside YOTEL at a mere £200.
Any expert commentary on recovering this cost and/or UK261 welcome.
