Using an old thread to ask a question. I'm flying Delhi to Istanbul (Indigo) and Istanbul to New York (Turkish Airlines). Its a code share. There is a 20hr layover in Turkey - What does "deboarding not allowed" mean (see screenshot)? Am I allowed to leave the airport to see the city (assuming I have visa etc). I called Indigo and they gave me a mixed message - you cannot leave the airport but maybe you can talk to the airline officials. Has anyone tried this? I'll be with a 4 year old kid, so definitely don't want to spend 20 hrs in Turkey airport! There is no info on the Indigo or Turkish Airways website
