Hotel Versey Lincoln Park, Tapestry Collection by Hilton {US-IL}
Today we see the opening of Hotel Versey Chicago Lincoln Park, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Back in 2003, is when the Days Inn-brand called for higher and more strictly enforced quality assurance standards, and this hotel was named 'Days Inn of the Year' in 2004. A couple of years ago, it was renovated into Hotel Versey, but still available through the Days Inn channels. But what intrigues me about this area: in the oldest pictures on Google StreetView, you can see a Barnes & Noble diagonally across from the building. Two years later, only the imprint of those letters remains on the wall, and a couple of years later, among other things, a newly built Trader Joe’s has taken its place, which is still there. But then - in the most recent pictures, we suddenly see a new Barnes & Noble appear opposite of the hotel, replacing 'Urban Outfitters'. As if physical books were completely ‘out’ for a while and have now reclaimed their place.
