Question but maybe a complaint too! It's been a few years since I did much transcontinental travel, but am doing much more these days. I was a BA Gold card holder for eons, then slipped to Silver post covid. Ive have 4 occasions to go to the USA in the past 4 months, only 2 of which I was able to take on BA becasue of the ticket costs. UK to USA seems to be £7-10K for a club world ticket, almost irrespective of route. Is this normal? On the 2 occasions I went on BA, one was as a BA holiday and the other I left on a Saturday to get a rate below £5K. The other 2 times I flew Air Canada via Toronto and it was half of the rate.

Is this what people are routinely paying?
