No, she was definitely scrutinizing the request and I don't think she had a chance to look at how full it was. I almost always pre-purchase the XS to ensure there are no overbooking issues so how full it is doesn't matter much.
Very strange treatment/behavior from this group of employees. I'd take it as poor service and disrespectful treatment. I am not sure what is up with a lot of places, strange employee behavior is getting more and more common. Respect is getting less and less common.
