Sorry. I was always going to fly out of BKK. I normally used to fly BR out of BKK and then BR out of TPE to YYZ. This tine I found out that TG ticket on a TG flight from BKK to TPE (TG metal) but then change to a BR metal and fly from TPE to YYZ. The difference was around 1000. This was a one document thru ticket. TG was both the marketing carrier and operating carrier from BKK to TPE. Then TG because the marketing carrier while BR was the operating carrier.
The downside was I could not pre book any meals on BR from TPE to YYZ though I could book the meals from BKK to TPE.
