I just applied for a new Amex Biz Gold card two days ago. Initially it went into pending but it was approved shortly after.

I got notification yesterday that the card has been shipped, and the expected receiving date will be 9 days after it was shipped via USPS regular mail.

I would like to get my card earlier, and chatted with an agent this morning to ask for expedited shipping. The chat agent first told me that there is no way to ask for expedited shipping for a replacement card. When I told her that this is not a replacement card, and that I am asking for the expedited shipping for the initial card after approval, she said there is no way to do that, but that I am free to try to ask again in 24 hours.

It's been a while since I request expedited shipping for a newly approved Amex card, but I know that this used to be possible even if a card has been sent out already. My question is: is the chat agent correct? Do I just have to wait for the arrival for the card via regular mail? Did something change?
