This is what surprise me as well as someone who flies a lot on both and lot more of course on Air Asia. I do not see why I should pay an exorbitant amount of money to sit in a seat as the same and get no choice in food unlike Air Asia where I can pre order a decent meal too. I have a multitude of choices in selecting my meals.
Yes BKK is much better than DMK but I am not a duty free shopper anyway and I get the lounge in DMK too in either Coral or Miracle Lounge without paying.
Unless you want to fly business class, it is Air Asia most days unless PG is cheaper than Air Asia on that day which would be almost impossible.
By the way I fly International on both of them for at least 4 hours flights.
