Absolutely agreed.
Additionally, depending on exact “mid-August” date, will be more or less than 90 days. Most successful bonus bumps are requested within 90 days of approval.
No downside to asking other than your time and energy, never hurts to ask, worst they can do is say no, give them an opportunity to say yes.
