This is a very silly question, but I'm struggling to wrap my head around the VS TP years - I've chosen a few random dates, to try and get to the bottom of it? First Flight on 8th February 2025: the start of Tier Point year (Fixed Membership Period) lasts until 7th February 2026 (Tier Point Year 1).

Achieving Silver by 15th October 2025:

Reach 400 Tier Points and achieve Silver on 15th October 2025, Silver status is valid for the rest of Tier Point Year 1 (until 7th February 2026) plus the entire next Tier Point year (Tier Point Year 2), lasting until 7th February 2027.

Achieving Gold by 6th January 2026: reach 1,000 Tier Points for Gold on 6th January 2026, Gold status is valid for the remainder of Tier Point Year 1 (until 7th February 2026) plus all of Tier Point Year 2. Gold status is valid until 7th February 2027.

Renewing Gold for Tier Point Year 3: retain Gold beyond 7th February 2027, you would need to earn 1,000 Tier Points between 8th February 2026 and 7th February 2027. Otherwise, soft land to Silver on 8th February 2027, the start of Tier Point Year 3.
