they've always had expiration dates (well, maybe not "always" but for 15+ years)

employees I've spoken with (this has been a few years) implied that the expiration dates are irrelevant.

not really sure that this is an "insane change" or just someone printing a new batch and not noticing the old expiration date was still on there.
