Yes, 3 against 1 downgrades your chances for an upgrade. Because it is all 3 or nothing. I'm sure when they offered you an upgrade, they still had some seats that they were not selling but wanted people to spend their money for the seats rather than give them free operational upgrades. Maybe all 4 were offered the upgrade and they were saving one seat as operational upgrade but would sell 2 remaining seats to other if they could. Then again, if you bought all 3 seats as cash upgrade, they would still give it to you and the guy that was upgraded would not have received an operational upgrade.
