A couple things
- Try searching "Regular or award travel" instead of "Business travel". I don't have insider knowledge on UA's internals but it's possible that "Business travel" is forcing fares on the UA leg that have restrictions that prevent lower fares on the other legs.
- Not sure if this has changed in the past years, but Expedia might be able to offer bulk fares. These often have restrictions beyond what UA offers on its website. The main thing to look out for is that some bulk fares are non-changeable ie: you cannot change the ticket and you get nothing back if you cancel.
Sorry if that wasn't clear. I meant clicking through from google flights that shows united as a booking option does not work, it gives me the screen I posted.
