AS served a breakfast dish that included Shakshuka a few years ago. It was delicious. I liked it so much that I tracked down a recipe and make if for my family now. I'm not sure how this recipe will compare to the old one, but it was not spicy when I had it.
I am finishing up the shakshuka on AS 588 (SEA-DAL) right now. I would call it spicy, but not overly so for my palate. If you dislike spicy food I would avoid. Really liked it (it would be better with a runny egg but that’s not going to happen on an airplane).

what catering is this they should go back to? The one thing that's been consistent over the years is the complaining about the catering. From where I stand, the catering now is better than it has been in years and years. You'd have to go back 20-25 years or more to get to truly consistent, wonderful meal quality.
I agree, the days of carved Chateaubriand at your seat on a domestic flight are so long gone.
(I never got them because I was a broke college student or growing up in a middle class family where F might as well have been flying to the moon on an Apollo mission during those times.)
I was perfectly happy with this F breakfast though… and usually breakfast is the weakest meal you get.
