Hopefully this new F will go a much longer way towards bridging that gap. Looks like no separate bed versus seat, but that's not necessary (see EK Game Changer F). I do worry, though, that this design, while a "quantum leap" over the existing F, might still be outclassed by the new Air France La Premiere F cabin and the new Cathay Pacific "Halo Suites" F cabin.
Allegris F for LH has kind of "3.5 seats" on the A350, the 1.5 seat type center suite is a weird thing and you can have a look at the extensive discussion on the LH forum on this topic and most folks (e.g. HON Circle members) are not psyched about it. However, opinions will differ.
