Well I asked for an offer first and she said "no offers" and then I just asked if they could credit the AF amount and she said "let me try" and then she said, "yup, it went through"

I don't think I've ever gotten a retention offer via Chase....this is probably the first time I've ever gotten them to waive/credit the annual fee - pretty painless though and she didn't go through the song-and-dance like they do with AMEX
