Yes, may end up going to JFK the night before (Amtrak maybe, I have points there too) and doing JFK-NRT-SYD-BNE-LAX-BOS (21829) on a DCIR22.
If I do go to the 26000 mile fare it is still signifcantly less than a DONE4. DCIR26 is $5900, DONE4 is $7400.
DCIR22 is $4900.
Although the DONE4 appears to allow a rather nice routing BOS-LAX-SYD-BNE-CNS-HKG-LHR-BOS which gets into BOS early afternoon rather than late at night if coming from LAX.
