The Hyatt Regency definitely does day rates. Not sure about the GH. You will need to use dayuse.com -- it may seem odd but it's legit, I've used it many times. It is not a "third party booking" in the traditional sense, it is cancellable, and you still pay at the hotel.

You may have trouble booking a day rate this far out. Sometimes hotels dump more day rate inventory when they know they'll have empty rooms.

Odds are if you call the HR, the agent will either not know what you're talking about (or transfer you to central reservations) or, if they do, they'll just tell you to go on dayuse.com anyhow.
