Good morning all,
MrsRyanfozzie said we could do we with a clock for the lounge, but lucky for me, I didn't get many other requirements other than 'a clock'. I did the most logical thing you could and manage to pickup a British Airways 747 window cut clock. The only information I have is that it is a British Airways 747 which was scrapped in Kemble in 2020. By the looks of it, it has to be a cut from the upperdeck of a 747-400, and I think around where seat 64 would have been due to the amount of red under the window. I've spent a while looking at the markings to try and find a MSN or LN, but nothing what I've found has helped me to pinpoint which BA 747 this was from, and it's reg.
I'd love to find this out so I can have a framed photo of it next to the clock. Below are the markings I've found on the rear of the fuselage cut and some photos. Are there any experts out there (I am sure there are, this is the BAEC Flyertalk Forum) who can help me identify the aircraft?
18042 or 19042, I thought this could be the MSN, but these are linked to either a 707 or 737 scrapped a very long time ago.
I can also see a date stamp mark which looks to be Sep 24 1996 which might help to refine which one this could be.
Thank you, the British Airways hive mind in advance!
