With IHG running a 100% bonus for buying points, I did the math and it was significantly cheaper for me to buy points and book with points rather than the cash rate, even with factoring in the $69 per day resort fee that’s not included on points stays. It also comes with a much better cancellation policy and allowed me to offload my existing points which I usually have a hard time finding use for. So my family is booked for 4 nights in the Premium 2 Queen Canopy View room for 308,000 points. I never expect upgrades as a Platinum, but would definitely be welcome. It’s not until early July, but I’ll circle back with my opinions after our stay.
