Let me give an example of my question.

Say I book JFK-IAD-LHR operated by DL, then VS, but through KL's website both with VS flight codes. Say they give me fare code X. If this fare code earns miles according to KL's chart, but it doesn't earn according to DL's or VS's chart, according to post 1142, this should still earn miles for both flights, so DL and VS would be counted for the promo. Is this the correct understanding?
