No that will not work, here is how the process would flow:
- you check out from hotel 1
- your stay (in ideal circumstances) posts on the second day after checking out
- assuming the above stay pushes you above 40 nights, you are asked to make a choice of what milestone awards you want to select
- you select the lounge pass and it appears in your rewards wallet
- you can use your lounge pass
Assuming your stays in hotel 1 and hotel 2 are back-to-back (i.e. check-out / check-in on the same day), you will not be able to use the lounge pass in hotel 2
Remember you have 3 months to make your selection - instead of making it now (e.g. in November), you will be better off doing that in January, as the lounge pass will then be valid until the end of 2026
