I lost (or more specifically, I forgot) my AirPods Max under the middle table between 1D and 1F on one of the flights last weekend. First I was told that most likely, cleaning in BRU will pick it up and return it to BRU lost and found. in "where is" I saw that it returned to LHR. (but realized it too late to do something about it because of an onward flight). then it went from LHR to ARN onboard the same aircraft. meanwhile I called GGL and they said that they were in contact with the team in London and if it returns onboard the aircraft to LHR they will pick it up. Later this day I got the info that the team onboard the plane indeed found my AirPods and turned it over to lost and found.

Where is now shows it in a residential area somewhere near Stockholm.

This is (yeah, I know, I have to be more careful) the second time that such stuff happened. Does the way from the aircraft door to the "lost and found department " be the weakest link in this procedure? is it just bad luck? Is there anything I can do about it? Has anyone an idea?
