Generally they will allow anything within reason in the event of problems so both keeping the LHR stop and missing it would likely be possible. There are maximum allowed distances for a given route and I wonder if the choice YUL-LHR + LHR-HYD and YUL-LHR-HYD might have an effect on that. With luck someone who knows the answer will show up.
