I'm not a fan to be honest. The rooms are nice and the F&B options are great, but the outdoor areas are not. The pool area feels like a cruise ship and has little greenery and the beach is uninspiring. We much preferred the Al Bustan which, although it had far more outdated rooms, has a far nicer beach, scenery and outdoor areas.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be headed to Oman next week and was trying to decide on where to stay (W or StR or the RC).
How was the breakfast at the StR? I wouldn't expect to get complimentary breakfast at the RC or the W but I'm going for the beach and the activities in Oman.
