No policy change. It has been that way as long as I have been booking awards in Mileage Plan. On partner awards, no changes are permitted once the first segment has been flown. The only exception was if all the remaining coupons in the itinerary were on AS metal.

Do you have a source for this being policy? If it was it wasn’t enforced like many “policies”. Anyway, I was able to call again this morning and got an agent that could make this change for me without a reprice so it is still not a hard policy apparently.
