Just finished a two night stay and had an overwhelmingly positive stay. We used a SUA for our two night stay and was further upgraded to their premium vineyard view suite which was one of the best Hyatt rooms I have ever stayed in. The room was a true two room suite with a second half bath, two bathtubs, and a massive walk in shower. We used the fire pit on the patio each morning and night. I would easily choose a standard vineyard view room over a suite if it came down to it but we had the best of both worlds. Pictures don’t do this place justice. We were celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary and the concierge sent up a bottle of Schramsberg bubbly and a high quality charcuterie that included fruits and honeycomb along with a hand written note from the concierge plus our itinerary.
As far as amenities go we used the spa which had a steam room and relaxation area, the gym, and the pool all of which were nice and had wonderful service. This property desperately needs a hot tub!
Breakfast at Violetto is (again) among the best in all of the Hyatts I have stayed in, both in the states and abroad. Highly recommend the carrot turmeric juice and any of their coffee drinks. Their mushroom and leek quiche was so good I’d seek this breakfast out even if I wasn’t staying here, which is saying a lot for someone who doesn’t typically eat breakfast at home. All breakfast charges were wiped from the bill. We also had the chips and dip and a couple of their specialty Mexico City margaritas on check in day both of which were delicious. I’d skip adding caviar to the chip dip, it’s too strong of a flavor to appreciate the caviar and we were given a tiny portion for a $25 up charge. The dip was delicious regardless.
I thought the location was perfect for a first time visit to the Napa area. We walked into the downtown portion of St. Helena each day as well as stroll through the sprawling Beringer property next door.
After reading through the forum I set my expectations quite low for the service, but they were exceeded in every interaction we had with the team. Check in staff were incredibly friendly and provided a glass of bubbly proactively. Valet (dumb that you have to valet your car at this property but I digress) were helpful and quick, and housekeeping was prompt and efficient and provided service twice daily, pool staff proactively offered menus for drink and snack service, and Violetto was about as good as it gets for breakfast service. I don’t have a single complaint but we also didn’t interact with the staff all that much outside of check in and breakfast.
This property is easily in my top 5 Hyatt properties around the world and we would both love to come back.
