Login issues to BA website following change of mobile number

I am a BA Executive Club member and have recently changed my mobile number - which I was able to update on the BA website.

Unfortunately when I try to login since it keeps asking me for my old number to send a text to as part of the login process. The only alternatives are face ID/finger print recognition (which I haven't got set up?) or some recovery code I apparently got when I joined the Executive club years ago. No idea why say a number sent to your email address could not be offered as an alternative you can use?

Has anyone else come across this issue - whereby you update your mobile umber with BA online but it still prompts you with the old number at login. Nothing there are no viable alternatives to ID yourself.

Have raised this with BA twice - but it still keeps happening? Has anyone else come across this quirk before?
