I sat in 2J so my meal came like 10-seconds after my I got my glass of wine...not super impressed with that either. Soup was supposed to be a Thai coconut soup, but ended up being a Spanish tomato soup that was served cold...not what I was expecting and the FA didn't mention it to me at all when the tray was served. Took a spoonful and what like..."OH...that does not seem like Thai coconut to me." I will say the curry chicken with peppers, garlic and noodles was pretty tasty. Only one desert offering...cheese cake. I usually like the cheese plate on international runs so I can snack on it over time.

Yeah you don't want to get Listeria from that catering kitchen that failed inspection, but I'd think they could've figured out how to at least cater D1 properly by now.
Maybe I missed a discussion elsewhere about it, but pretty surprised it was the DO&CO kitchen in DTW that got shut down by the FDA.
So an update here...
Upon returning to the US (on a ATL flight from MUC with an outstanding crew) I did send in feedback to Delta. I received a call in less than an hour apologizing for the substandard service and presentation and wanting further details to pass on internally. Was given option for 15,000 miles or $150 credit voucher for the experience. I took the credit voucher.
Here is what I sent:
Delta.com Feedback Submission The level of service provided by the crew in Delta One did not meet your standards. Here is a brief description of the occurrences:
1. No pre-departure beverage offering--blamed on DTW catering. There was ample OJ and sparkling wine for service during the flight.
2. My meal selection was not confirmed, I did pre-order and received what I ordered. But was not greeted and the meal choice confirmed.
3. The meal was delivered literally at the same time I received my beverage.
4. The entire meal service was delivered on one tray to include all the appetizers, soup and entree were all on the same tray. The entire forward D1 cabin was served this way. When I questioned it was served this way, I was given two different answers...1-DTW catering problems; and flight was under 8-hours so then everything is served on one tray.
5. Soup was not what was listed on the menu and served cold, blamed DTW catering. FA didnt bother to mention it when food was delivered either.
6. There was only one desert choice, blamed DTW catering.
While I know there were food safety issues in Detroit recently, the crew blamed most all of the substandard service on the catering problems. I don't understand why listeria and not service sparkling wine or OJ prior to departure or serving the meal service on one tray are linked, but apparently they are.
