It would appear they aren’t keeping them happy. My favourite hotel (I stay 60 or 70 nights a year, just for leisure) looks like it will leave Marriott. My guess is because Marriott want to dilute the Bonvoy elite status, which doesn’t matter to them, but hotels are feeling the strain of packed lounges and a clamour for upgrades. This from Platinum members who rarely use Marriott and pop over to the UK to gorge, along with 4 kids, in the lounge. So their plan to create too many Platinums is now backfiring.
