The A16: it’s released in a few Asian markets for ~$250. Seems not available in NA yet.

I’d honestly look at something within the last year or so, the A54 is already 1.5y old, with only 5 years total for updates.

Of course, it really comes down to what you want to do with the phone. If it’s just a gadget to play around with, camera isn’t really important… are graphics / etc?

I myself have a Realme (Oppo sub-brand) phone, non-N. American, which I was using briefly as a true smartphone, but shifted it to essentially being a non-data phone for my second SIM. Realised it was a bit annoying managing between it and my iPhone. Still, it was ~US$120, can’t really complain.
I'm a weirdo who still carts around a DSLR with a big lens. So I'm not super invested in any phone camera.

I have merely grown quite ignorant of Android and want to reacquaint myself.
